The District Credential Committee meets twice a year in February and August. Anyone who has completed the prerequisite course work and obtained any waivers or clearances required may make application to test and interview with the Committee on either of these dates. The Schedule for the day is as follows:

 

9:00 a.m. — Orientation

 

9:30 a.m. — Testing

 

10:30 a.m.— Interviews

 

After completing the credential test each candidate will meet with various members of the committee for interviews. Once all the interviews are complete the candidate is free to leave. After all interviews are completed, the committee will make recommendations on each candidate before forwarding them to the General Secretary’s office in Springfield.

 

The General Secretary’s office will notify the district office of the final decision in regard to the applicant’s request and we will forward that information to the applicant as soon as we receive it. Be patient as the General Secretary’s office handles all applicants from all districts on an as received bases. Also, any special circumstances could mean the application is referred to the General Council Executive Presbytery which only meets five times per year.
